RAM Celebrates a Successful Lunch and Learn with Eco Medical

On Tuesday Sept 18, 2013 RAM conducted a lunch and learn with a number of Occupational Therapists and Case Managers from the Workers Compensation Board, Easter Seals, and the Canadian Paraplegic Association.

The purpose of the session was to inform these important organizations about some of the important aspects of Accessibility Lifts (Vertical Platform Lifts). One area of specific interest was the role that National Codes regarding safety play when when they specify or fund a lift. The CSA codes B355 and B613 are the codes that apply and there are some aspects that not all manufacturers meet.

RAM has been providing safe lifts for over 25 years and participates in the safety code review and update process.

If you’d like to know more about some of the safety aspects relating to the code or you’d like to have a lunch and learn with RAM’s experts please get in touch with our team at 1-800-563-4382 or at [email protected]

RAM’s Trus-T-Lift (TM) ACME Screw – 25 Years of Excellence in Drive Systems

RAM has been making Vertical Platform Lifts for over 25 years and we have always subscribed to the philosophy that Safety is the number 1 priority.

With that in mind we have relied on the inherent safety of the RAM ACME Screw design as the heart of the drive system for our Trus-T-Lift.

Most people don’t see the engineering and testing that go in to these systems and although they look simple it takes a great of time and effort to ensure that they function properly over the long haul while still maintaining a simple structure and cost effective price point.

Although it has been difficult to sometimes explain the differences to the general public RAM has just issued a document to highlight how our ACME drive screw system is different than what some of the competition is doing. The document is in our learning center and you can also review the article by clicking the link below:
